Affirm, designed by Fennie+Mehl

Affirm

Affirm is a financial company reimagining and building from the ground up how everyday consumers can easily pay off purchases with fixed monthly payments.  Their ethos is clean and utilitarian so the work at hand takes center stage.  FENNIE+MEHL’s interior design pays homage and supports this earnestness, while creating a space completely prepared for the certain growth of this rapidly evolving business.

The office reflects Affirm’s straightforward, disciplined and transparent mission. F+M also honored their culture of doing more with less both visually and in the financial considerations of their design choices.  The glass-enclosed yet private meeting rooms are nested, with writeable walls.  Even the exposed floor doesn’t hide anything from the building’s past, but is polished and beautiful nevertheless.  Interior furnishings are reduced to their most simple forms, often unadorned yet highly functional.  Workers are in it together, within open plan workspaces and a communal eating area and coffee bar.

The floor-to-ceiling graphic is visible to all and is an oversized reminder of where the buck stops in this office: “It’s on us.”
