Junior Designer

Position Overview – Junior Designer:

The Junior Designer will be responsible for handling professional design activities across a wide variety of project types, such as spatial planning and design, finishes, FF&E, lighting specifications, and code requirements. Additional duties include contributing to project delivery and supporting senior leaders in business development activities and firm operations.

Organization, creativity, and the ability to remain pragmatic with a good foundation in design concepts and principles, practices, and construction are key factors we are looking for in a Junior Designer. Excellent written and verbal communication, collaboration, interpersonal and problem-solving skills will lead to success in this role. As a team of passionate designers working together, we rely on our team members to be agile and flexible, humble but driven, with a client-focused mindset. We are results-driven and utilize our broad skillsets on multiple, fast-paced projects every day.

Other Aspects of the Role Include:

  • Proficiency in Revit
  • Proficiency in CAD, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and MS Office tools preferred

The Junior Designer will:

  • Assist senior team members in curating design functional/aesthetic resources 
  • Have a desire to learn how to create construction documents independently
  • Have the ability to work with multiple clients, and on multiple projects, simultaneously 
  • Support and contribute to the aesthetic, functional, and production aspects of projects 
  • Contribute to producing conceptual and fully executed designs 
  • Collaborate, within project teams, with vendors and consultants to produce successful design outcomes 
  • Have the desire to participate in and support firm business development activities

Preferred Experience Level:

3-5 years minimum work experience

Preferred Educational Level:

Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in interior design or architecture.
